Tanya Glencross-Eimantas - Occupational Therapist Mentor
Occupational Therapy Graduate Mentorship

Proficient clinical reasoning and expertise are not conferred at your graduation with your degree.

In the first few months of practice, the novice Occupational Therapist (OT) moves from theoretical knowledge to practical clinical skills.  If you don’t have an on-site, professionally relevant mentor this first few months, OT practice can be a scary and frustrating time for new graduate, novice OTs.

Mentoring is about personal and professional growth and involves providing guidance, advice, and sharing experiences to help guide a clinician’s practice.  The relationship is informal, organic and supportive.

As your mentor, I will provide critical thinking and problem solving guidance, share experiences, and offer insights based on my own experiences and expertise.  Mentorship is a reciprocal relationship where we both contribute to its success!
